Brief history about the founder of Open robotic university, US who hails from Benin City, Edo state Nigeria.
Meet Dr. Osatohanmwen Osemwengie, the Nigerian genius with 4 Master’s Degree and 3 PhD, who makes drones for the United States Army.
He is currently working on his 5th and 6th Master’s degree in software engineering at Regis University, and Information Systems at the Keller Graduate School of Management, USA.
Dr. Osemwengie, who hails from Benin, Edo State, has been a part and parcel of the American armed forces, and he has been building drones (small unmanned aircrafts used for surveillance and to combat terrorist groups) for the US Army.
The Nigerian-born scientist is the founder of the Open Robotics University, a US-based tertiary institution that grants tuition-free engineering degree programmes, which allows individuals to pursue careers in all fields related to engineering.
In 2008, Dr. Osemwengie was selected to do a presentation at the World Robotics Championships, an honour which he earned as a result of his remarkable works in the field of robotics and software engineering.
He was also a facilitator for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation- sponsored Ohio Leadership for Integrating Technology Initiative (OLIT).
Before he left for the US in 1982, Dr. Osemwengie, served as an administrator at the College of Education, Benin City, where he was honoured as the institution’s Educator of the Year, for securing funding used to design and implement pre-service teacher education programs.
