Edo State Govt Security Architecture Receive a Boosts as Council Boss Donate Toyota Hilux To LGA Vigilante Formation

‘’Gov. Obaseki has initiated an enviable overall state-wide security architecture for us to localize’’

The Chairman of Oredo Local Government Area, Hon. Evbareke Jenkins Osunde has restated the commitment of the  administration to confront criminal elements operating within the Council’s domain with a view to ‘’vigorously protecting lives and property of its residents.’’

Hon. Osunde renewed his pledge during the recent presentation of a Toyota Hilux utility van for increased operational efficiency of the Oredo Vigilante team.

The Council Chairman noted that the Local Government was very encouraged by the state-wide formidable security architecture that has been established by Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki emphasizing that’’ the three-pronged law enforcement strategy of the Council was principally anchored on the Governor’s proactive vision.’’

Continuing, Hon. Osunde remarked that members of the Vigilante team performed creditably especially during the end-of-year festivities when criminals in the Local Government Area assumed that they could hibernate under the seasonal ceremonies to inflict harm on the society. 

The  Oredo LGA Chairman, Hon. Osunde said that ‘’ contrary to the assumption by the deadly deviants in our community, the Vigilante team working in close collaboration with the Nigeria Police and other security agencies launched various successful daring operations against armed gangs, cultists and kidnappers during the Christmas and New Year celebrations .’’

Hon. Osunde reaffirmed the commitment of the Council to ensuring that ‘’ Oredo Local Government Area will be made a hostile terrain for criminals plotting harm against its jurisdiction.’’ 

He concluded that the Council will be safe and secured for everyone engaged in legitimate endeavors in the Local Government Area.’’
