Covid-19: Comrade Wellington Osadolor intensifies preventive sensitisation, takes campaign to Uzebu Quarters.
A Senior Special Assistant to Governor Obaseki, Comrade Wellington Osadolor today extended preventive covid-19 sensitisation measures to Uzebu Quarters in Oredo ward 3.
The Governor’s aide who has been on the campaign for a month now said he has embarked on street to street sensitisation in Oredo ward 3 as part of efforts to curtail the spread of the deadly virus.
Comrade Wellington who was able to reach out to hundreds of residents of the area highlighted the importance of compulsory use of facemasks as an important mean of curbing the spread of the virus.
The SSA also informed the people of social and physical distancing practice, regular washing of the hands with soap and water for up to 20 seconds as well as discipline of staying at home when there is no pressing need to go out.
He said this practises are recommended non pharmaceutical preventive measures recommended by Edo State Government and the Nigerian Center For Disease Control NCDC and called on the people to corporate with the government by observing the measures so we could stop the spread of the virus together in the earliest possible time.
Edo State Government officials have in the past one month engaged in statewide preventive sensitisation exercise in the 192 wards as parts of non pharmaceutical efforts to curtail and contain the spread of the virus.
